About Suzanne

Suzanne is a Trinidadian fiction writer and content creator.

In 2020, she was one of twelve writers shortlisted for the BCLF Elizabeth Nunez Award for Writers in the Caribbean.

She also contributed to We Mark Your Memory published by Peekash Press (2019) and The Institute of Commonwealth Studies (2018). This unique literary anthology commemorates the memories of the Indian indentured laborer diaspora across the Caribbean and the rest of the Commonwealth.

She has also published short stories in Moko and Duppy Thursday by Akashic Books.

Essays about her experiences as a Caribbean person in Japan and abroad have also appeared in Caribbean Beat, Wanderful, GoAbroad, and GaijinPot.

Since 2019, she has joined a team of dedicated bookstagrammers and authors to promote Caribbean literature via the #ReadCaribbean initiative on Instagram spearheaded by Cindy Allman.

She also has over five years’ experience creating travel and lifestyle-related content for print and digital media outlets in Japan, the US, and Trinidad and Tobago.
